1. Customized Pontiac Trans Am 1982

This black Pontiac Trans Am was featured in the Knight Rider, a television series broadcasted on NBC. It ran from 26th September 1982 to 8th August 1986. The show starred Michael Knight, a role played by David Hasselhoff, who is a modern hero fighting crime. He is assisted by his talking car, KITT, which is equipped with artificial intelligence. This classic car had bomb sniffer, teargas launcher, sleep gas and flamethrowers among other modifications.

2. DeLorean DMC12

This famous machine was used in the 1982 science fiction film, Back to the Future. This comedy was written by Bob Gale and Zemeckis, and produced by Steven Spielberg. The film revolves around a teenager, Marty McFly, who is sent back to 1955 from 1985 by accident. Marty meets with his parents while in high school and accidentally ruins their chances of meeting. He must fight to go back to 1985 and ensure his parents meet and fall in love. DeLorean DMC12 is a time machine with a fiberglass underbody and gull-wing doors.

3. 1964 Volkswagen Beetle

The Love Bug was produced by Walt Disney, and was the first in a couple of movies that starred Herbie, a white 1964 racing Volkswagen Beetle. Herbie could not speak but this did not stop him from having a personality. He was a small moody car equipped with various gadgets that enabled him to piss oil on your legs if you gave him a funny look. The film is based on a 1961 book entitled Car, Boy, Girl, written by Gordon Buford. It revolves around the adventures of Herbie, Jim Douglas, his driver and Carol Bennett, the driver’s love interest.

Shia LeBeouf, the main character of the 2007 hit movie Transformers, wanted to acquire a real Camaro. The producers of this movie requested the GM executives to choose the trashiest Camaro. The executives settled on the ’76 Camaro and converted it to 2009 version known as Bumblebee.

This 1968 Black Beauty Chrysler is one of the coolest movie cars. The film talks about Kato, who is a masked vigilante fighting crime with the help of his side kick, a Chrysler Imperial Crown. This car is nicknamed Black Beauty and is equipped with many crime-fighting weapons. What most people found fascinating about the car is that it was drivable and not a mere prop.

6. Ford Lincoln Futura Concept Car

The Batman was a TV series aired on ABC network from 12th January 1966 to 14th March 1968. It was based on a comic book and featured Batman and Robin. The two were heroes, who defended Gotham city from criminals. They were assisted by the Batmobile, which was a 1955 Lincoln Futura. This mean- crime fighting car was build at the cost of $250,000 at the time. Modern time Batman drives a Lamborginy with a lot of add ons, and it is no longer called The Batmobile, but The Tumbler.

Gold Finger is the 3rd James Bond movie starring Sean Connery as James Bond, the MI6 agent. The Bond Girl is known as Pussy Galore and is played by Honor Blackman. James bond, the super spy and playboy drives the extra-stylish 1963 Aston Martin DB5. This car is also featured in another bond film, Thunderball. Other different DB5s also appear in Casino Royale, Tomorrow never dies and Goldeneye.

8. 1977 Pontiac Trans Am

Smokey and the Bandit is an action comedy movie produced in 1977. It stars Jackie Gleason, Sally Field, Jerry Reed and Burt Reynolds, and their lovely car, the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am SE. The car was muscular, flared and sharp in all the right places. It had a gold regalia and glossy black paint.

Christine is an adaptation from a Stephen King book by the same name. The movie talks about the effects a possessed car known as Christine brings to its owner, Arnie. This 2-door, bright red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury is quite fascinating.
