Auto Tune Up FAQ

Q: What is a tune-up?

A: As the name suggests a “tune-up” is a type of maintenance that is performed on your vehicle to extend the life, but to allow maximizing your car’s full performance potential. Unlike other maintenance services or repairs, a tune-up allows your vehicle to run smoother, produce less noise, boost horsepower, and be more fuel-efficient. Not only does a tune-up benefit the performance, but also allows our team to detect and prevent small mechanical issues from becoming a bigger, more expensive repair.

Q: What actions are performed in a tune-up?

A: When you come in to get a tune-up from our master mechanics, we first begin with a complete vehicle inspection and check. Our goal is to first detect any underlying issues that are invisible to the naked eye. After our diagnostics are complete, issues are detected, we then begin to fix them. You can count on our mechanics to do more than replacing an oil filter or top off your fluids. We service your belts, replace older parts in your engine, change your spark plugs, service your wires, check your ignition coils, and adjust your valves.

Q: Are my belts, hoses, and filters necessary to service?

A: In all of our repairs and services, our mechanics are dedicated to your satisfaction and performance. Our tune-ups are a thorough process designed to accomplish just that.  As a result of this, we ensure that every part of your vehicle will be correctly tuned and serviced in order to produce these exact results. Like your engine, distributor cap, or spark plugs, we consider the possibility that other parts in your engine bay could be in need of additional attention. This is why we also service your hoses, belts, and filters

Q: What can bad spark plugs mean for my car?

A: When your car has faulty or failing spark plugs it can make a huge difference to the operation and startup. Bad spark plugs can lead to ignition issues. Likewise, our tune-up services are designed to address these issues and maximize your car’s power output or power generation. Count on us to help you unleash your car’s full potential with our tune-ups.

Q: How do my air filters affect my car’s performance?

A: Your car’s air filter plays a huge role in assisting the other components in your vehicle. Like your oil filter, your air filter’s main purpose is to remove harmful particles that are created from the burning of fuel from clogging  your engine. Having a clean air filter, helps improve your overall fuel efficiency and performance. Have you ever noticed that your car has been losing power? Oftentimes, the loss of power is the result of a compromised combustion system. When we replace your air filtration system, we are ensuring that your engine and internal components are free, clean, and can gain access to the air intake.
