This could definitely be a transmission slipping issue. Are you in Colorado? If so, please call your nearest AAMCO location and ask for a diagnostic, majority of our locations also offer towing options to get your car safely to the shop. But, let’s get this fixed so that you can drive safely. I’m surprised a mechanic replaced items and didn’t offer you options to fix your vehicle or diagnose it. Let our guys take a look for you.

Auto transmission that won’t shift as I drive. By the time I get to 50-60 mph the car is pulling 4500-5000 RPM. Check engine light on. No noises, no smells, no shifting, just increase in RPM with speed. I have checked with a Transmission place and needless to say they have made me won’t to search elsewhere for answers. The mechanic says he needs to do exploratorive surgery to find a bullet hole. Basically he doesn’t know what to look for until he gets into the transmission. I’m hoping it to be fluid or something else like the ECM or a bad connection.
