Usually, buying a used car can be an exciting experience. It can be fun to shop around, look at options you’ve not considered, and schedule test drives at dealerships all around town. But ultimately you are preparing to invest in your stallion, and you should make sure that it is in the best condition possible. You would hate to buy that beautiful car only to find a pool of transmission fluid on the ground a week later.

Pre-Purchase Inspections
Why it Matters
Getting a used car inspected by a mechanic may seem like overkill, but in the long run you may find it saves you a lot of extra expenses down the road – literally and figuratively. Whether you are purchasing your vehicle from a dealership or from a guy you met online, you should know for certain what you are buying rather than taking the seller’s word. While the outside and interior of the vehicle may look pristine, there could be significant underlying issues that could affect the value, or systems that aren’t working quite right.
There are a lot of tools available to potential buyers (i.e. Kelly Blue Book, Carfax, etc.) have better insight into what they are buying, but there is no denying the value in having a skilled mechanic – with whom you already have a relationship – perform a detailed pre-purchase inspection of the car.
Engine Problems
Your engine is complex, and numerous problems within could lead to a whining sound to come from your car. However, it can be hard to say exactly what the problem is without a thorough inspection and knowing the make and model of your car’s engine.
Let AAMCO Colorado Perform Your Pre Purchase Inspection
You have a lot to worry about as it is, and the last thing you have time for is dealing with a “new” used car that is already causing you grief. Let one of our expert mechanics perform a pre-purchase inspection before you make a commitment to buy a vehicle. Schedule an appointment today. Those who know go to AAMCO.
